Description
The display cabinet with sliding glass doors is available in one width, 78 cm, and one depth, 30 cm. The display cabinets fit into all wire panels from String® System if the depth of the panels is 30 cm.
It is visually pleasing to add a bolder element to your shelf, like a cabinet, which also give you a lot of extra storage and the possibility to showcase something fragile.
The display cabinet consists of one adjustable inner shelf in glass and the internal dimensions are: depth 26 cm, width 74 cm, and height 38 cm. The display cabinet is delivered unassembled.
Max load 15 kg evenly spread across the furniture.
Designer
Nisse and Kajsa Strinning
Nisse Strinning, designer of the String System, was a Swedish architect born in northern Sweden in 1917. Nisse designed the first String shelf in 1949 with the help of his wife, Kajsa Strinning.
The couple met while studying at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stocholm. It all began when the Swedish publishing house Bonniers launched a competition to find the perfect shelf. A highly functional shelf with a modern design at a reasonable price.
String won the competition and has since become an icon of Swedish design.
