Description

The cabinet with swing glass door is available in a width of 58 cm and a depth of 30 cm. It is compatible with all String® System 30 cm deep wire and plex panels. with all String® System 30 cm deep wire and plex panels. The door is located on either side of the cabinet.

The cabinet has an adjustable internal shelf and the internal dimensions are: W54 x D26 x H38 cm. The cabinet is supplied unassembled.

Maximum load 25 kg, evenly distributed throughout the unit.

Designer

Nisse and Kajsa Strinning

Nisse Strinning, designer of the String System, was a Swedish architect born in northern Sweden in 1917. Nisse designed the first String shelf in 1949 with the help of his wife, Kajsa Strinning.

The couple met while studying at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stocholm. It all began when the Swedish publishing house Bonniers launched a competition to find the perfect shelf. A highly functional shelf with a modern design at a reasonable price.

String won the competition and has since become an icon of Swedish design.
