The cabinet with swing door is available in one width, 58 cm, and one depth, 30 cm. The cabinet fits together with all 30 cm deep wire and plex panels from String® System.

It is visually pleasing to add a bolder element to your shelf, like a cabinet, which also give you a lot of extra storage. The door can be mounted on either side of the cabinet.

The cabinet consists of one adjustable inner shelf and the internal dimensions are: w54 x d26 x h38 cm. The cabinet is delivered unassembled.

Designer

Nisse and Kajsa Strinning

Nisse Strinning, designer of the String System, was a Swedish architect born in northern Sweden in 1917. Nisse designed the first String shelf in 1949 with the help of his wife, Kajsa Strinning.

The couple met while studying at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stocholm. It all began when the Swedish publishing house Bonniers launched a competition to find the perfect shelf. A highly functional shelf with a modern design at a reasonable price.

String won the competition and has since become an icon of Swedish design.
