The chests of drawers are available in two widths, 78 and 58 cm, and one depth, 30 cm. The chests of drawers fit into all 30 cm deep wire and plex panels from String® System.

They are designed with two drawers to offer hidden storage in your shelving combination. The chests of drawers are a great fit in either the hallway, living room or kids’ room where the need for hidden storage often is big.

Internal dimensions (for each drawer): depth 23.7 cm, width 51.3 cm and height 16 cm.

The chests of drawers are delivered unassembled.

Designer

Nisse and Kajsa Strinning

Nisse Strinning, designer of the String System, was a Swedish architect born in northern Sweden in 1917. Nisse designed the first String shelf in 1949 with the help of his wife, Kajsa Strinning.

The couple met while studying at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stocholm. It all began when the Swedish publishing house Bonniers launched a competition to find the perfect shelf. A highly functional shelf with a modern design at a reasonable price.

String won the competition and has since become an icon of Swedish design.
