The work desk is available in one size, 78x58 cm and fits into wire panels from String® System with depth 30 cm.

The work desk can easily be adjusted to your preferred height and can be used in an office, kitchen, hallway, or any other room where you might have the need for an additional table.

Make your workspace complete by mounting a works drawer underneath the work desk where you can store pens, notebooks, and such.

Each packaging contains one work desk, one ledge to place against the wall to stabilize the work desk along with brackets. Choose among different colours and wood types.

Designer

Nisse and Kajsa Strinning

Nisse Strinning, designer of the String System, was a Swedish architect born in northern Sweden in 1917. Nisse designed the first String shelf in 1949 with the help of his wife, Kajsa Strinning.

The couple met while studying at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stocholm. It all began when the Swedish publishing house Bonniers launched a competition to find the perfect shelf. A highly functional shelf with a modern design at a reasonable price.

String won the competition and has since become an icon of Swedish design.
