Rizzatto 42,  is mounted directly on the ceiling and gives a soft and even light, making it ideal in the bedroom, the kitchen or the hallway.

Rizzatto 42 is a ceiling mounted lamp featuring a custom-made metal canopy in satin  finish.

An elliptical glass shade in opal white is fixed and diffuses soft light into the oval shaped lower glass.

Designer

Paolo Rizzatto


Paolo Rizzatto was born in Milan in 1941, where he studied for his degree in architecture at Milan Polytechnic in 1965 when he was 24. Rizzatto works as a freelance in the fields of architecture, interiors, design, lighting and teaching. He founded Luceplan together with Riccardo Sarfatti in 1978.

“Throughout my extensive career as a lighting designer, I have received many invitations to work with lots of different stakeholders in the lighting sector: multinational corporations and companies of all sizes. I had not considered these offers since 1978, when I founded my previous company, Luceplan. Until now,” - Paolo Rizatto.

His architecture and design projects form part of permanent exhibitions and numerous museums: architectural associations in London, Milano Triennale, Wave Hill Museum Centre in New York, the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
